Jan 25, 2010 (submitted by bianca at 09:25am MST) We're getting lots of people in available recently. That's a good thing - much better than not being able to fill a raid. And I still try to operate on the basis of 1st come, 1st served on getting people into the raids if possible. However - if you are in the raid and feel like you might rather be doing something else, please feel free to check the channel and see if there's anyone who could replace you. You can also send me a tell and ask if you're required in the raid. Sometimes we really do have a healing surplus and exchanging a sleepy cleric for a 6th rogue isn't a problem. On the other hand, sometimes I have 4 melee DPS groups and only 2 shamans or bards... That's not to say you can't log off early if need be, but it would be convenient if you could stay. People who sit out do get points, including 1st kill points. They're not eligible for loot, though. (Exception for loot if you volunteer to sit out when we have too many people in raid) Also, if you are in available, I have no problem with you watching TV or walking away from the computer IF you turn up the volume so you can hear my voice tells. I will send you voice tells if you don't respond to a tell or take a raid invite. I will wait a minute or two, but if you don't answer, I'll invite someone else. Don't be upset if you check in 10 minutes later and missed a raid invite. You should also have an AT for "bid now on" because loot comes after an event, and people often leave after an event, so that's your signal to check in and let me know you're still awake. |

How to see if you were Missed for Points... (submitted by bianca at 02:00pm MST) ... or the raid just wasn't posted at all and everyone is being missed: Look at the top of this webpage. Click on the Raids link That gives you a list of all the raids that have been posted If a raid is titled something such as Nov11_08 Logs Missing then nobody is getting credit for that hour until I get to input the logs. However, if you look at the raids and they are listed, but you're missing, you should send me a PM - cut and paste the name I gave the log into the PM so I don't get confused. |

Why your Raid % changes on a daily basis (submitted by bianca at 04:09pm MST) eqdkp calculates 30-day Raid Average on a rolling 30 days. That means raids from 31+ days ago are dropping off your 30 day average, which causes it to change daily. With the old way, when Nalidani used to calculate points on a spreadsheet, this didn't happen because she wasn't going to recalculate your RA every day and post it to the boards. She did that once a month. You could skip raids for 29 days and it wouldn't change at all, but then next month you would be stuck for the whole month with 0% RA and couldn't bid, no matter how much your played. This way, you can start at 0% and be above 40% in a couple of weeks. If your RA goes up or down, but your points stay the same, that's the reason. Bonus points (on-time, end, 1st kill, maiking level) do not effect RA at all. |

April 8, 2008 (submitted by bianca at 02:32pm MDT) We're going on month #5 of using EQDKP and all is well. I hope everyone is enjoying the updates and all the reporting features. I know I am! If you know anyone, new people, old members, whatever, who cannot access their points, please let me know. You can PM me on the boards, screen name Bianca, or you can send me an email at bianca@wayneprecht.org and I can fix it. If you have any issues with your points not being accurate, you may contact me the same way, or you can also post on the loot and points forums. I encourage you to check your points to make sure they're correctly updated after each raid. Mistakes, being LD at log time, or being mid zone - it can all get you missed on a log. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Bianca |

Send Bludysky or Bianca a private message to gain access. YOU MUST SIGN IN AT LEAST ONCE BEFORE WE CAN GIVE YOU ACCESS |
